Canyon de Chelly

I used to ride horseback through this gorgeous canyon every April after attending the FBA Indian Law Conference in Albuquerque.  Over the last year I finally got around to painting a
series based on my adventures.

A wedding present for my brother and his wife, who asked for a painting of sharks. My brother countered in favor of cats.  Well, here you go.  Disagreement over.

2015 Winter Plein Air at Menogyn

We had a banner year at Menogyn for the hardy winter painters who've kept this tradition going since 2010.  Here are some photos.  Thanks to everyone for making this event a success!  Next year we're penciled in for Monday, January 25 through Saturday, January 30, 2016, with a reception afterward and overnight tentatively planned in Grand Marais.  Contact me at eklundartstudio@gmail.com if you want to participate next year.
